Moradabad – In a significant step towards promoting investment and urban development, the Minister-in-charge of the district,  Anil Kumar, today inaugurated the highly anticipated three-day property fair and investors meet organized by the Moradabad Development Authority (MDA). The event, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act, 1973, aims to facilitate the sale of properties worth Rs. 400 crores, including residential, commercial, school plots, and houses.

The inaugural ceremony was held at the Authority office in the presence of distinguished guests, including Mayor  Vinod Agarwal, Member Legislative Council  Satyapal Singh Saini, and MDA Board members  Vikas Jain and  Raju Kalra. Senior officials such as the Divisional Commissioner, DIG, District Magistrate, and Senior Superintendent of Police also graced the occasion.

During his address,  Anil Kumar emphasized the government’s commitment to urban development and its vision for making Moradabad a hub of economic activity. He highlighted the special focus on the upcoming commercial centers—Udyam Vihar in New Moradabad and Gatishakti Nagar in Transport Nagar—which are poised to become the city’s key commercial hubs.

MDA Vice President Shailesh Kumar presented an overview of the Authority’s contributions over the past four decades, noting that the MDA has successfully developed over 30,000 properties through 25 development schemes, covering approximately 700 hectares of land. The Authority’s efforts have not only attracted investments worth Rs. 20,000 crores but also created numerous employment opportunities for the local population.

The Authority has been instrumental in Moradabad’s growth through schemes like Dev Vihar, Madhubani, Naveen Nagar, Deendayal Nagar, and more, which have facilitated planned development in the city. Notably, Naya Moradabad, developed on the lines of modern cities like Chandigarh, is becoming a preferred residential and commercial area for city dwellers.

Commercial and Infrastructure Focus

Shailesh Kumar highlighted key commercial projects such as Udyam Vihar, located in Sector-2, which is expected to be a future commercial hub, and Gatishakti Nagar on Sambhal Road, which is designed to address the growing transport and logistics needs of the city. Additionally, Naya Moradabad’s Eco Herbal Park, Samvidhan Park, Seven Wonders Park, and other proposed developments are set to attract significant investments, including the establishment of five-star hotels and hypermarkets.

Property Sales and Investor Participation

The property fair is showcasing over 500 properties, with a combined worth of Rs. 400 crores, available for sale through various methods including e-auctions, first-come-first-serve, and lotteries. In a bid to attract more investors, the MDA has introduced convenient loan options, installment plans, and price discounts for early payment.

On the first day of the event, 08 properties worth Rs. 78 lakh were registered, with the first allotment letter handed over by the Honorable Minister. Additionally, 09 properties valued at Rs. 2 crores were registered for auction.

A presentation by Nishchay Group Housing also showcased an integrated township under development, reflecting the growing interest in planned urban expansion.

In his concluding address, the Divisional Commissioner urged investors to collaborate with local authorities to address city-related challenges, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation for sustainable development.

The property fair will continue for the next two days, offering investors and the general public a range of opportunities to contribute to the city’s evolving landscape.
